Is it absolutely necessary to ship samples with ice packs?

We highly suggest shipping samples with ice packs during the warm spring and summer  months (i.e., May through September). Heat exposure can negatively impact your results, even altering cannabinoid potency and properties.

What are your packaging requirements?

We ask that plant material be double-bagged and oils be in centrifuge tubes.

How soon will I receive results?

We typically produce certificates of analysis (COAs) within one to two business days. Mold and microbial testing can take up to three business days due to longer run times.

What causes CBD results to exceed 100%?

When dealing with a substance that is close to 100% pure, such as CBD isolate, adding in the measurement uncertainty (e.g., ±5%) can yield a result higher than 100%. Measurement uncertainty is the range of percentages the purity level can lie within and is calculated by estimating the risk associated with every aspect of the lab environment (personnel skill, measuring equipment quality, procedure difficulty, etc.). The scientific community widely accepts results higher than 100% as accurate.

How can you determine the milligrams per serving in a tincture?

Total CBD mgs / # of servings = mg/serving

Example: 1000 mgs / 10 servings = 100 mgs per serving
